​The Afghan Closet, at St. Matthew's Church provides free clothing to newly arrived refugees who arrive with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Donating:

• Refugee Task Force at Temple Beth Shalom (anyone can donate here, fill out the form, press submit, and a drop down menu will have the Refugee Task Force as an option)​
• ​HEB gift cards - buy at store (email or give to Russ Apfel or Bettie Forman in person.)
• Walmart gift cards, Target gift cards, Visa gift cards. (email or give to Russ Apfel or Bettie Forman  in person.)
• We are taking donations for the items below, Please contact Chichi 
  
• - large rugs in good, clean condition; clean floor pillows in good condition
  - tvs, clean couches in good condition, small dining tables/chairs
  - kids/adult bikes
  - sewing machines
  - vacuum cleaners, small appliances
  - twin and double sheets, pillowcases, comforters:  new or in excellent condition
  - towels in excellent condition
  - infant/children's car seats/boosters
  - strollers
  - pots/pans/roasting trays
  - irons
  - a microwave
  - a small bar-size fridge
